The present study was conducted during consecutive Rabi season of year 2012-13 and 2013-14 at farmers field of village Potiya in Gariyaband district of Chhattisgarh plains to test efficacy of some new fungicides in controlling rust diseases of fieldpea. Results revealed that Propiconazole + cyproconazole (330 EC) recorded highest reduction of rust disease incidence before 2nd spray, before 3rd spray and after 3rd spray of fungicides and was found significantly superior as compared to other tested fungicides followed by azoxystrobin 250 SC and difenoconazole 250 SC. Highest per cent disease incidence was recorded with untreated control plot. As far as other observations regarding yield and yield attributing characteristics of fieldpea, Propiconazole + cyproconazole (330 EC) recorded highest plant height, length of pods, breadth of pods, number of pods plant-1, number of seeds pod-1, 1000 seed weight and seed yield of fieldpea followed by azoxystrobin 250 SC and difenoconazole 250 SC. Lowest yield and yield attributes was found with untreated control. Keywords

Taqat 75 WP is a new combination product of captan 70 per cent (contact) and hexaconazole 5 per cent (Systemic) proved effective against fungal diseases of blackgram i.e. rust and powdery mildew diseases. Hence, in the present study, taqat 75 WP was evaluated in comparision to other commonly used fungicides against foliar disease of blackgram. A field experiment was conducted at farmers field of Gariyaband district of Chhattisgarh state during Kharif 2013 and 2014 to evaluate the efficacy of taqat 75 WP against foliar fungal disease of blackgram. The results revealed that taqat 75 WP @ 750 g ha-1 was highly effective in controlling the incidence of rust and powdery mildew in blackgram. Results also revealed that taqat 75 WP @ 750 g ha-1 increased the seed yield and yield attributing characteristics like number of pods plant-1, number of seeds pod-1 and 1000 seed weight. Keywords

The present investigation on study the relationship of Pleurotus florida, with other Pleurotus sp. and fungal moulds was undertaken with the objectives to study the growth, population of substrate mycoflora associated and inhibition of P. florida, with other Pleurotus sp. and fungal moulds. In all the cases, the test fungus showed less mycelial growth while P. florida recorded maximum growth (43.47 mm) in dual culture with P. ostreatus followed by combination with P. flabellatus (41.54 mm). Regarding the population of mycoflora during different month, it was generally lower from November to March and August to September when the growth of P. florida was profuse and abundant due to fovourable prevailing climatic conditions. However, the population of mycoflora was comparatively higher during April to July with rise in temperature, fall in relative humidity and unfavourable conditions for development of mushroom mycelium and fruiting. The results also revealed that all the isolated fungi had relatively faster rate of growth than P. florida on potato dextrose agar medium. The rate of growth in Rhizopus sp. was more followed by Aspergillus niger, A. flavus and Trichoderma viride. However, the rate of growth was comparatively less in Rhizoctonia sp. Maximum inhibition in radial growth of P. florida was recorded with Rhizopus sp.(70.45%) followed by A. niger (65.90%) and A. flavus (63.63%). However, the inhibition of growth of P. florida was minimum in Rhizopus sp. (29.51%).Keywords
